So, What is a Level Buyout Model?

A leveraged buyout model, or an LBO, is used for the acquisition of a company. A type of acquisition where total acquisition proceeds are financed with a substantial portion of borrowed funds. The acquiring firm finances the acquisition with a mix of equity & debt.

This model and template are useful in that whilst it is a fully-fledged LBO model and therefore needs no build, it is also a tutorial and learning regime for those who need to get fully conversant with building and maintaining LBO models.
